JOB TITLE: Staff Accountant
REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer
DEPARTMENT: Accounting/Inventory
DATE: August 2020


General accounting tasks such as banking, account reconciliations, accounting for fixed assets, and inventory.  Responsibilities also include some financial analytics.


  • Complete bank reconciliations for all active bank accounts.
  • Reconcile all monthly trend analysis of provider payments to cash disbursements, miscellaneous cash deposits, inter-company accounts, reconciliations, etc.
  • Reconciliations of cash postings and disbursements to bank activity and cash log.
  • Prepare, research, and maintain various accounting excel logs.
  • Provide support as needed for annual audits.
  • Assist with any finance special projects.
  • Provide support as needed in the Accounting Department such as accounts payable and/or our inventory receiving department.  Reconcile and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial transactions within our inventory scanning system (Pickright).
  • Keep financial information confidential.


  • Understanding of accounting and finance processes.
  • Capable of calculating figures and comprehending velocity/movement reports.
  • Ability to maintain our inventory database and work with our cycle count system.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with various departments which include operations, purchasing, accounting, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of one year accounting experience.
  • Ability in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients and co-workers.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Access, Word required; Advanced skills in Excel and Access strongly preferred.
  • Excellent attention and orientation toward meticulous work; strong organizational/documentation skills.
  • Self-starter with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to research issues displaying strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to maintain professional and positive attitude.
  • Works well as a team member.
