Jeff Allen is the third generation President at Allen Brothers Wholesale Distribution in Philadelphia.  Since taking over daily operations in 1981, Jeff Allen has helped grow Allen Brothers Wholesale Distribution into an industry leader.  Under his leadership, Allen Brothers has dramatically enhanced their presence in the Mid-Atlantic region, ranking year over year in the "TOP 25" Convenience Store News annual report while broadening their product offerings and maintaining a connection to the company's distinguished century old reputation... now approaching its 110th year!


With over four decades of operational and management experience, Jeff Allen has developed a sharp instinct for growing the business.  Allen's reputation for accelerating profitability and generating operational excellence is recognized throughout the industry. Over the past decade, Allen has made it his goal to help customers create a sleeker, smoother, more strategically focused modern retail operation

Combining his operational expertise and progressive outlook on business, Allen is always incorporating new methods and technologies to support his staff and customers. Defined by an ability to adapt to the changing environment, Allen is always looking to improve and enhance internal operations.  Allen has incorporated a full-scale web-based software system, has implemented 21st century ordering technology and recently launched their new and improved website while also incorporating new and improved scan technologies to monitor, optimize and integrate operations.


Allen Brothers recently celebrated their 109th anniversary. It was Jeff Allen, third generation proprietor of this exclusively family owned company, who carried Allen Brothers to their Diamond Anniversary in 2010.  Allen has advanced the company from its humble beginnings as a horse-and-buggy operation in 1910 to a leading Full Service Convenience store distributor in the Mid-Atlantic region.


Jeff Allen has always garnered recognition for awareness of his responsibilities in the community. His generosity has not gone unnoticed. Allen is the recipient of numerous awards, including the prestigious Lorillard Citizenship Award, the "Remington & Vernick" Annual Charity Award, and the 2015 Temple Emanuel Social Action award. Jeff Allen is an active contributor in his community and proudly supports his roots. Allen is a past board member of Temple Emanuel Synagogue in Cherry Hill NJ, previously serving on their Social Action and Finance committees and was a prime contributor to the "Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive". In addition, Allen is also a proud supporter of St. Christopher’s Children’s Hospital, the South Jersey Food Bank, Philabundance, the "Staying Alive Walk" for suicide prevention, the North Philadelphia Fire Department, Ladder 22 Widows Fund, the 25th Police District Annual Block Party and BAPS charities of NJ & PA & DE., to name a few.


Jeff Allen also understands his responsibility as a leader in the industry. As an active participant in the Pennsylvania Distributors Association (PDA) since 1985, he has served as a board member, Past-President, and Chairman. After first serving as Chair of the Advisory committee and then Vice President, Allen was elected President in 1993. Allen credits much of his aptitude for forward thinking in business to his time serving the PDA. He is past founder and Co-Chair of the Unified Business Owners Association (UBOA). Allen actively serves as an employer trustee on the board of a Philadelphia Pension, Health, & Welfare Fund. Allen Brothers is a member of WAM, an exclusive national coalition of C-Store distributors throughout the United States, where Allen served on their Advisory board. He also serves on the board and legislative committees of the Convenience Distributors Association (CDA), a national trade association for the wholesale convenience store industry. In 2016, he was appointed to the board of The Pennsylvania Food Merchants Assoc. (PFMA) while being nominated as their legislative co-chair in 2017 for Philadelphia County and continues to engage as an active participant in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania legislative issues concerning the Convenience Store Industry.
